ADHD & Behavioral Concerns

Research on ADHD treatment shows that the most meaningful gains come when caregivers and teachers are part of the solution. At Momentum, that means working directly with the adults in your child's life, not just your child.

  • Individual & Family Therapy

Sessions tailored to your family's context and needs — caregiver-only, caregiver-and-child, or a mix based on what your child needs most.

  • Group Therapy

What is Behavioral Parent Training?

Behavioral Parent Training (BPT) is an evidence-based form of therapy that focuses on helping caregivers better understand and respond to their child’s behavior. Rather than working only with the child, BPT supports parents in learning practical strategies to promote positive behavior, strengthen the parent–child relationship, and reduce patterns that can contribute to ongoing challenges at home or school.
BPT is commonly recommended for children with ADHD and related behavioral difficulties. Sessions are structured and skill-based, with an emphasis on understanding behavior in context, practicing new strategies, and applying them consistently in daily routines.

Parents Can Expect:

  • A structured, skills-based approach

  • Clear explanations of why behaviors happen and how to respond effectively

  • Opportunities to reflect, ask questions, and problem-solve

  • Practical strategies that can be used at home and adapted to each family’s context
